Mikey Cannon


Born in 1976, Mikey Cannon started playing drums at age 10. He landed his first professional gig with Latin jazz group, Yavaz, at 19, playing the world famous Croce’s restaurant in San Diego every weekend.

After graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s in Music he joined The B-Side Players. They toured nationally and recorded for Concord records. Through their adventures he got to meet and play with such artists as The Wailers, Toots and The Maytals, War, Ozomatli, Jeff Lorber, Guy Ecstine.

After living in Brooklyn for 2 years Mikey toured across the country with rock-a-billy/Western swing band Izzy and the Catastrophics.

Mikey now resides in Sonoma, where he owns and operates Cannon School Of Music.
